Spider pack failure?

Have any of you guys had issues with spider packs failing and/or can they partially fail? Just curious I seen a video about a sub guys thought he blew but after removal he found that the spider came undone? My question is with this type of failure is it possible for the sub to still play ok? He had the same thing where with it mounted sideways it scratched n was kinda gritty but when flat it was all good.

With my subs altho they are mounted face up to prevent spider wear. If I give them a lil bit of side ways pressure when. Depressing them they dont scratch or anything. Even while playing sometimes it's like it gets into a sweet spot and won't make that noise for an indeterminate amount of time.

Just has me wondering if the spiders came unglue or partially loosened up. And when i get then outta them box, if this is the case should my repair be covered under warranty?

Thanks in advanced for replys.

I've had my spiders come off that landing.

Easy re-glue and it's good to go.

Also have had it separate from the former.

Another easy re-glue and it's good to go.

Now if the actual spiders separate from each other then it's a little harder to fix.

With dried glue on the edges of the spiders its a little harder to clamp them back together and glue properly but it's not too bad.

I've had it happen to multiple subs. Just gotta re-glue it otherwise it will just get worse.

Any tips for removing screws from T-Nuts that have come unstuck from the wood with out tearing up the surround too bad? Idk if I'll fit inside my box from the other side to get in there n get it with a vise grips lol... Best idea so far is a Dremel n cutting blade n to be super careful

Also I was thinking about maybe buying the FU2250-18s r the FU2000 SPLs, but looking at the coil opts there is dual 2 ohm dual 1 ohm and dual 0.7 ohm... What kinda amp is stable at .1 to .50? Or is that like insane amounts of money for amps like that?

drill the head of the screw out. next time you put t-nuts in use 24hour epoxy and use a bolt to hold them firmly into the wood for at least 24 hrs

can someone post the exo video? cant find it

Around 3 minutes he starts to talk about it.

The spider completely ripped from the landing.

One of my 15's has a ton of excess glue on the outside of the spider.....good ol yardsale special. That will never come apart so I'm ok with that!!

Spider packs like so mentioned usually lots of power to sub(s), and near max, xmax...pushing subs to their limits or beyond it.

Just ask Boomingrandpa...he knows how to reglue things.
here is a spider failure
