speedometer problems

Today my ground pulled loose from my amp. I notice when it was out my speedomter was acting weird. if i push the gas it would go to like 50 and if i let off itd go back down to 0 even if i was going 50. Could i have shorted someything out? i dont think this porblem is a fuse any ideas where i could start ?

hmm, could be your speedo going out.. my 240 did that and would go crazy and never read right... i put in a new sensor and that didn't work either, so its probly the gauge cluster

my oil pressure guage did the same thing...i just looked on ebay n picked up a couple extra clusters..not bad priced..the only thing that gets me.....if i had to replace the whole cluster.....what bout the odometer?

Carfax shows stuff like that. It has the odometer readings every few years.

Well i was thinking that my oil pressure gauge was broke to because it says 0 when im at idle at it says like qtr- half when i push the gas so probably the whole cluster is bad then?
