so i finally got my avg-vdp1 fixed up after fedex playd soccer with it......for those of you who dont knwo what this is, it's a veichle dynamics processor that plugs directly into the touchscreen dvd player, and gives you estimated torque, horsepower, rpm's, gps, voltage, g force around turns, incline angel, and a whole plethora of visualizers and graphics....

well........amoung the many differant wires on the harness, one of them is supposed to go to the "speed dectection circuit (pink wire)".............wtf?

called pioneer tech support....and they had no ****ign idea lol....... told me to call the authorized dealer i bought it from (***** plz, i didnt pay that much)....so monday im gonna call the nearest dealer and see what they say

anybody off the top of thier heads where i connect this wire??

vss wire... pioneer tech support couldn't tell you that? it's on every gps enabled unit they sell.

i could tell you what wire at work... only site i have access to from home is directechs and it doesn't list it.

I would just call pioneer back and ask them to find you the vss wire for your car, because I don't work again till friday. I've had to call them before to find it, and they can usually tell me. Just tell them you're having a rough time finding your vss(vehicle speed sensor) wire.

all thew authorized dealers i called didnt know what it was.....but after looking into it a bit and asing around im pretty sure it's the wire that goes to the speedometer and has a pulsating signal....which would make since....and now i just gotta figure out which wire that it and can i get to it through the dash......probly gonna call some dealership or look it up online. need that wire for a 2002 vw golf

its the VSS wire...just whip out your DMM and start tappin wires to find it. not rocket science here, look for one that fluctuates between 5-12 volts while the wheels are spinning.
So put on cruise control and pray for the best as you're fumbling through your dash? lol

You can probably find out which wire it is online after an hour or so of research... I found mine thanks to some guy on cardomain.com that did the same thing to his truck //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

i dont have cruise control wiht my manual *****...nor anything to put the wheels up on so i can have the car in drive while i fool around in there....

....and i havent looked in depthly online.....i looked a little but im sure if i dig deep enough i can find a schematic thatll show it....im so lazy though, i wanna wait a few more days and see if Shyne can just help me out......soon enough ill get it

bump

also there are wires that go to the negative pole of my door speakers....i dont havenaythign hooked up to my decks amp, would i just connect those to the neg wires of my door compents? or does it need to be wired to the ones coming off the pioneer deck?
