Speed bumps??

Alright i developed a bad habit of not slowing down so much over speed bumps and in my area its crawling with them. Now i drive a low car (Acura RSX), each time I go over a speed bump I hear a loud thud in the trunk, knowing its the box gaining a little air and coming down, i fear i might damage my subs. My question is, have you ever heard of a sub actually being broken due to someone going over a speed bump a little fast, im not talking 60 mph here, more like 25-30 mph...

Yes, I've messed up subs by not driving carefully. I used to go over speed bumps and turn corners faster than I should. I messed up one of the speaker leads on the terminal of my box and it lead to a blown sub. It's also because my sub box wasn't mounted, but it would only slightly move around. Now whenever I make turns or go over speed bumps, I drive carefully.

but thats only b/c here they are speed humps.... barly noticable...

just slow down and you should be fine.

my friend got rear ended real hard once and the jolt from the accident froze up his subs. knocked the vc's out of align or something i'm guessing.

Funny story....my friend put his 18" XXX in a friends suburban while his car was in the shop. So it was a total temp install...well the 2nd day the guy had it in, he totalled his car. All that was salvaged was the box and sub, in perfect condition, and his amp and playstation 2. So, in conclusion, i think ur box will do fine over speed bumps.
