What does 3hp mean in reference to a sub motor?

Is it a horsepower rating of the motor's strength? just a guess but idk. enlighten me please

wouldn't the power rating be more dependent upon the softparts/coil than the motor? I mean im sure cooling design plays a huge roll but idk.

the 3HP is a motor that was designed by TC Sounds.

Also, the electrical equivalent of 1 HP is about 746 Watts. Not that that has anything to do with the situation, but if you were curious now you know.

I'm pretty sure that "3hp" just means it has a 3" coil. Like a 4hp motor has a 4" coil..

1) Make sure you are currently viewing the Subwoofer forum

2) Click on search this forum

3) In the drop down box, type in 3HP

4) Click on Go

5) Read

6) ????
