Speakers with the most bass?

Im looking for a set of 6 1/2 speakers that will put out the most bass with just the head unit power. I obviously know that it isnt going to be a great amount of bass, but im looking for the best bang for my buck(which isnt much).

Pioneer REVs. Quite decent off of HU power, and if you ever get around to hooking up an amp...they are rather impressive with the low end.

You will get more bass with cheaper speakers and an amp.

The four most important things in car stereo: Quality of install/tuning/system design, speaker placement, power, and quality of the speakers.

for what purpose?

are you putting them up front? are you wanting door speakers? are they going in the rear deck? are you just that ****ed cheap?

why do you need this. i mean, there are options for example, getting a nice set of components up front and getting a pair of ed eu700's to put in the rear deck would be an affordable and good path to take for what you seem to be describing.

there are many "6.5 subwoofers" on the market. but what ELSE do these "speakers" need to do? because "bass" is something that ranges from 1hz to about 100hz. and generally speaking, a speaker th at eccels in that frequency range wont play much else.

so WHY are you asking this, maybe we can futher help you if you explain your full intentions.

without the proper mounting and deading no speaker is really going to accell when it comes to bass.

the speakers are goign in the rear deck, and its not that im cheap its that im broke with a car thats not worth putting a bunch of money into.

And i just recently bought a pair of JBL speakers to put in the front door and they sound great but really lack bass, so im looking for the cheapest set of speakers to put in the rear deck to put out some bass.

first off, this is my oppinion. and if you can afford like $200 or so, this is what id suggest.

get one of these amps for your "rear deck subs"

get a pair of these for your rear deck

cut some wood baffles out, and mount the 6.5" subs to the baffles, and mount the baffles to the rear deck. get some sound deadening if you can afford it.

get the dual 4 ohm eu700's and hook them to that amp, and run them as subs in your setup.

minimal cost, its a good upgrade to boot. hell, maybe spend a few more bucks and get this amp

and hook each eu700 to the rear channels, and the front speakers to the front channels and you would really increase the quality of your stereo.

thats my 2 cents.

maybe for a few more, you could get a pair of the below and do the same thing with a little more bass.

i like req's idea.. cheap profile amp throw it on with the ed subs and put it in the rear deck.. done.

Amps can be confusing though...when I hooked up my first autotek i lost a lot of bass, and when I tried to get that bass back, my speakers would pop without being able to generate near as much bass as they had through HU power

if you want bass, try to get 6x9s

rockfords and kickers have good bass in their speakers, also a high sensitivity

your post made absolutly no logical sense. your headunit has an amp in it. the autotek was an amp. the difference is in the filters built into them.

maybe you should read the manual and turn off the low pass filters that were cutting the bass frequencies lol.

agreed. The profile amp and ED 6.5" subs are still your best bet. If you can hook up a headunit.. hooking up an amp is even easier. There are like 4 dials on an amp.. not really complex. 6x9 coaxials are a joke next to a real sub when it comes to more bass.. lol.

I think you should first try sound deadening your doors. You'll be very surprised by how much more bass you'll get from your speakers and the ability to turn up the volume higher with less distortion. My factory speakers sounded so much better and had a lot more bass when I did my doors.

Since you're on a tight budget, I'd just sound deaden your doors for now, and set up your front stage later when you have the cash to buy an amp(s) to power aftermarket speakers.
