I just finished re wiring my front speakers today, but as i was snapping the last piece of dashboard back in, all 4 speakers cut out.

the pannel i put on is way to he right, and not located near any wires. the wires into the HU are fine, and the wires to the speakers are fine.

I have a 1993 Saturn SL2, and i was told that its 'not uncommon for them to have ground problems' like this. but if it was a ground problem, why dosent my head unit ever turn off. and why do my speakers play for an hr, then the next time i start my car they dont work? any sugestions?

alright dude for one thing stop posting and like talking to yourself just wait for peoples feedback. but to help you out it sounds like one of your wires are loose and its probly the ground wire connecting everything all up and which would short everything out
