I just got an old Ranger regular cab and starting to decide what components to put in it. Everything is factory and sounds really bad. I will probably convert the double DIN to single so I can get more HU for less.
Speakers: I have looked at coaxial speakers, but now I am leaning toward components. I don't need the neighbors to hear me, I just want good clean accurate sound. I am looking at the Polk db5251 and db5252 components. I figure a set of components and an 8" sub should work out well. I doubt I will connect the rear 6x8s.
Do you think that the db5251s @ $100 would be the best SQ for the price?
