Speakers and Amp?

ok... so i want to get more our of my 4 speakers in the car to do that i need an amp.. but is it worth it? and if it is.. how is it diff.. with sound and other things?

unless your speaker do over 17.5 watts your h/u amp should be enough to power them.

the reason why i am asking is because i have them in my other car.. and i dont know how powerful they are.. watts and all .. so im just wodering if i should put my money and if its just worth it ...
