Can anyone recommend me some speaker wire for one pair of speakers? I am getting a whole system and already have an amp kit so I'm pretty sure the only other wiring I need is the speaker wire, correct? Does anyone know of any good, cheap speaker wire?

Thanks.

I actually bought my kit from knuconceptz and after looking it appears I have speaker wire. Here is what I bought:

20 Feet 4 AWG Blue Kolossus Power Wire

3 Feet 4 AWG Silver Kolossus Ground Wire

One FH-24 with 80A Fuse size

One 5 Meter Klarity Kable Blue OFC RCA Cable with Built in Turn On lead

20 Feet BLUE Klear Kable OFC 12 Gauge Speaker Wire

2 Gold Plated 4 AWG Ring Terminals, 2 Gold Plated 4 AWG Spade Terminals

6 feet Split Loom and wire ties

Klarity 2 Channel RCA Kable 5M

Klear Kable Blue 12 Gauge Speaker Wire (20 extra feet)

Thanks.

Do I have everything I need to make everything work with a Head Unit, Pair of Speakers, Mono amp for sub, 2-channel amp for front speakers, and a sub?

Thanks.

it doesnt look like it, looks like you ordered the 4 chan kit tho...which just gives u another set of RCAs you will still need another remote, power and ground wire, and a dsit block, unless your gonna just run both power wrres all the way to the amp, another fuse holder and fuse

You're close.

You need something like this to split your 4 ga wire to two 8's:

A couple fuses for it, about 10' of 8 ga, and another set of RCA's. You can turn on the 2nd amp simply by running a small wire to it from the remote terminal on the 1st amp.

Can you send me some links to what I need? I'll get it ordered ASAP. Should I send the amp kit back then if it's for a 4 chan amp?

How will I know how much 8 ga wire to order and the fuse size? I ordered a Directed Audio 1500D mono amp and a Profile HA600 2-Channel amp.

Wire length depends on where your amps and distribution block are located. The idea is to use as little 8 ga as possible. Generally the d-block is mounted near both amps. Your 4 ga is run from the battery (fused near the battery) to the d-block, where it's slpit into your two 8 ga wires which run to each amp. Usually it's no more than a couple feet from the d-block to each amp - which is where you'd run the bright colored wire. Then, from each amp you'd have to find a chassis ground with the dark colored wire, which, again, you want to keep as short as reasonably possible. I would order at LEAST 5' of light, 5' of dark. As cheap as it is it wouldn't be a bad idea to go 10'-10' just to make sure you're covered.

Come to think of it -- I have some new 8 ga wire, terminals, and AGU fuses in my tool chest if you're interested. I can't give it away, but I think I could get it to you cheaper than any store could. Just a thought.

For your fuses I would go with 80-100A for the Directed and no more than 40A for the Profile. The 80A fuse up front SHOULD be ok for the main unless you're REALLY cranking it for an extended period of time, but that can be replaced later if there's a problem. FWIW - I'm running about the same total power as you will be and haven't blown my 80A fuse over 2+ years.
