Speaker Wire? what to get?

Here's a suggestion; search Amazon.

I'm also kinda weary of off-brand and really cheap speaker wire, despite being advertised as 'O2 free'. What troubles me is that it's not the impurities in the copper that's usually the issue, it's the shielding around the wire that will cause trouble. Cheap shielding will react with copper and make it oxidize...heard some horror stories with that Monoprice stuff.

I picked up 100' of Monster 16ga for around $30 shipped not too long ago from Amazon. It's worth a shot.

yea i checked amazon but if ur running 125 watts to each speaker ur gonna want 14 gauge to say the least. I got good knu 12 gauge for the subs though. had to //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

What you have to worry about is impedance. A 20' run of 16ga speaker wire is adequate for a 4ohm speaker.

Also remember; you'll be using a HPF of some sort and will only see 125w, if that, in short bursts and not continuously; you listen to speakers and not resistors. You will not hear a difference between 16ga and 14ga unless the runs are very long.
