What do crossovers do and are they really helpfull? Are there special brands that perform better than other? I saw some that are for speaker, but I dont know if I need them. Any help is appreciated!

A crossover is a device that divides an input signal into several bands according to frequency. The device can usually introduce gain into the signal as well. A high-pass crossover will permit signals above a specified frequency to pass through, while a low-pass crossover will permit frequencies below a specified frequency. A crossover can also permit frequencies within a specified range to pass through. Hope I helped you out, good luck:)
