Is this a good combination for these speakers?

2 of these:

KICKER S15L7

15" subwoofer with dual 4-ohm voice coils

Power range: 50-1000 RMS watts

Peak power: 2000 watts

Frequency range: 18-100 Hz

Sensitivity: 88.5 dB

SoloKon aluminum-treated composite cone with Santoprene surround

Cast-aluminum basket

Mounting depth: 8-3/16"

Sealed box volume: 1.5-6.00 cubic feet

Ported box volume: 3.0-6.0 cu. ft.

With this amp pushing both:

KICKER ZX1500.1

RMS Power: 1500 Watts x 1 @ 2 Ohm

RMS Power : 750 Watts x 1 @ 4 Ohm

Number Of Channels: 1

Low Frequency response: 20 Hz

High Frequency Response: 200 Hz

Signal To Noise Ratio: >95dB

Active Crossover: 24 db/octave, variable 50Hz-200Hz, Low pass only

KICKQ Boost: Variable to +18dB

12db/octave subsonic filter defeatable at 25Hz

Built In Crossovers: Yes

Channel Separation: Yes

Class D Design

Gain and crossover frequency control

Protection light indicator

Mosfet Powered

Soft Start turn-on

Protection Circuit

Remote bass control

Dimensions: 20" (L) x 2-1/8" (H) x 9-5/8" (D)

And can I leave the original 4guage wire (maybe 8, I forget) that I'm using to my battery right now? Or do I have to change it for the high wattage? I don't think I'll run over 1000 with that setup though?

I'd opt for the dual 2 ohm voice coil subs and a ZX2500.1 amp. But if that's the amp you have, then I'd run only one dual 4 ohm voice coil sub and send it the brunt of what the 1500.1 can provide.
