Speaker / Amp Combo

I can get these speakers listed below for a good deal. I'd like to know if the Amplifiers that could be packaged with them would be a good choice to go with or should I pick up a different pair of Amps. I'd like to push more for sound quality, rather than all out bass. But I'd like to hit pretty hard when I want to.

Sounds like a really great budget SQ setup. Careful about pushing Infinity subs too hard. Heard a horror story or two in my day. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Have you heard all these speakers in person? Some people consider Infinity harsh, but if you've heard them and like them ignore that comment. I personally like how they sound. The only suggestion I have is if you wanna save some cash, check out some other wire brands. Monster cables aren't any better than any other brand yet usaully have a greater price tag. Also there is that whole thing about them being the Devil and all. www.knukonceptz.com is where I get all my stuff and I have never had any noise issues. Just make sure you use the same size wire for both power and ground.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/thumbsupwink.gif.129404938effda6ad9cca39e7f4b58a3.gif:thumbupw:

Well, what setup would you suggest. I'm trying to build a system and I have no idea what combination of anything to go with. I was informed of two system sets, one cost about $540 and the other $1020 or so. I'm not trying to be cheap or anything, just trying to get something a little better than bang-for-buck with sound quality. Then I can get a box made for my trunk for about $400.

SET ONE

Speakers : http://www.thezeb.com/p-CDT-Audio-CL-61A-6-1-2-inch-Component-System-101083.htm - $150

Subwoofers : http://soundsplinter.com/rlp_premium_series_12_and_15_inch_subwoofer.html - $430

Amplifier : http://sonicelectronix.com/item_365.html# - $169

Total - 150+430+169 = $749

SET TWO

Speakers : http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=13542 $149

Subwoofers : http://www.etronics.com/product.asp?stk_code=sout212&store=&catid=369 - $360

Amplifier : http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=13940 - $379

http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=13918 - $129

149+360+379+129 = $1017

I like Setup #1 better... your price on the RL-p is incorrect though, they are only $215 each when purchased as a pair, 235 each as single... Make your own box, you can buy your own tools/materials and still be less than $400, while keeping the tools when finished //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif...

I'm sorry if I sounded like I didn't like your setup. Infinity is a very respectable brand. However, if you've got a little more money to spend I'd go for something a little higer up. I really like setup#1 you just posted. I think you forgot a speaker amp in there though. I've heard the CDTs you linked on there and I really love them. I haven't had a chance to hear a SoundSplinter in person yet, but plenty of people can attest to how great they are. I found this on theZeb you might want to think about:http://www.thezeb.com/p-Orion--CDT-Audio-XTR375.2---HD62-Amp-&-Speaker-Package-103831.htm

$400 for a enclosure? I assume this would be a custom 'glassed enclosure in the back of a VR-4(nice car btw)? If you aren't getting a fiberglass enclosure made you're getting ripped bigtime.

Yeah it would be a custom fiberglass/vinyl box. Here is a link to some of his work on boxes, 3KGT Concepts. Its about a 2 month turn-around time to have one made, but I have to figure out what components I want before I decide on my box.

But what you're saying Logikalliquid is that I should go with Set One, but replace the speakers/amp I had in there with the one you posted?

You won't be disappointed with any set of CDT components. I just thought that that set of HDs with that amp seemed like a good deal and you seem to have the wallet for em. The total for that setup would be close to the cost of setup#2 also.

How do these Memphis 12"s compare to the RL-p Premium Series 12"s? Forgot the model number., but I have one of these in my setup now. I'd just like to know how these compare.
