Sparking

So, i just hooked up my new amp, 1/0 guage and stuff, and everything looks to be perfect, but when i go to hook up the negative to the battery there is a small spark, is this normal? I know once one of my ring terminals was grounding out and when i reconnected it sparked, but that was a big ****ing spark, not close to this.

Use a circuit breaker...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Anytime you complete a live circuit like that, it's going to spark.

Shouldn't be popping fuses. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

You can blow the fuse if you've reversed polarity somewhere; Like mixed up your positive and negatives at the amp. Instant fuse bustage.

Is there a way to make it so that when connecting the two there wont be any spark??
Yep, but it requires you being barefoot ,a 5 gallon bucket of water, three chopsticks, a tube of blistex, 4 rubber bands, 7 pieces of yellow legal pad paper, and a toothbrush in each pocket //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
