Spark from amp

there was a spark when i connected the ground wire to the amp for the first time. Is this bad?

Nope...just a result of the amp's internal capacitance.

well its brand new and it doesnt work, wondering if that spark blew anything? is it possible it did?

edit: but the power light still comes on, its just that the subs dont play and thats not the problem cause i did the 9v battery test

usually normal. try not hookin amps up when the power is hott.

i guess that zeros out my power and subwoofer as the problem to my system is not playing. i guess it is my amp. guess i have to return it but i lost something that came with it so im probably going have to pay for it arnt i?
