......Oh yah, one other thing I was wonderin', at these shows, for SPL, can I play anything I want? Have any of you gone to one of these shows? Any insight anybody can provide is greatly appreciated........
I don't know if the Downer's Grove comp. on that little list is a tweeter event or not, but I went to the DG tweeter for an SPL comp. last summer and people were playing whatever they wanted. Most of the people were just there for the show, and there was only one guy that seemed like he knew what he was doin. He had the highest score had out of any category with 2 12" or 15" HCCAS (I think), and a MMATS amp in a pathfinder;150.8 or so if I'm not mistaken. It was early in the season and that might be why.
If you go there (Tweeter in DG), bring somebody else's car with good AC because otherwise, you WILL fry.

I believe that all four of these events are by Tweeter. Personally I think I'm going to get my peepee whacked...We'lll see what happens. I already have a plan for a new set up.

I ordered my kicks from Sound Domain yesterday, got the material to mount the 2nd Punch 200ix (finally. I still need to order the gas springs and get some fans and plexi), and finished sound deadening the underside of the trunk lid. After I get the kicks and move the speakers around, I need to finish the rear deck with some more foam and material. I'm thinking about getting some pvc to cut on an angle for the 4" that will be in the back to angle them some, round it in with fiberglass, and then fabric it, but we'll see if I have time.

Keep me posted on the dates. I'm trying to sell my 3 RF's to get a 15" bramah. I think it might do better than the RF's. I don't know what I will have when these future shows come around, hopefully something, but I'd go anyway.

I was reading on Adire's site that a guy ran a 15" Brahma in a 6.6cu' box with 800w pushing it. He hits over 150 in his extended cab. I figure I have a 6.2cu' box (before any displacement) in a cavalier and with 2 punch 200ix's pushing it at 800w I should get somewhere close...right??

Hey Matt, If you don't get rid of that sub by the time the next comp you want to go to rolls around, I say with some minior car modifacations and a different box, you might be able to hit the numbers you want to. The thread where the guy was wondering about box size for his XXX, a guy replied and in his profile he has the same sub and amp as you. back seat is coming out and im going to toy with box positioning.. mabye ill trigger something.
i just have to get an air wrench to get the last 2 screws holding the seat in. the bottom peice is already uncscrewed so it just comes out simple.
ill probably play with it saturday to see what i can do.
