Source for weld wire? Or even a picture

I can't figure out how "weld wire" can be suitable for a power lead ... unless it's insulated??

If so ... where do you get it? I can't imagine a local welding shop would have use for an insulated wire ...

Is it copper? If not, what's its reistance?

its not "weld wire" its welding cable and yes its copper and insulated.it has very low resistance and can be found at AIRGAS,a welding supply store.you probally have one locally.its usually $50-$60 per 25ft roll for the 1/0

lol yeah really im a welder and if that shit comes off, you start arcing everywhere when you drag your leads alot a grounded floor lol

Ah ... I gotcha. I was focusing on like the weld sticks, the consumable wire, not the power feed for the welder itself.

Wonder if welders are P.O.'d since I assume welding cable supply companies now realize audiophiles are buying the stuff ... driving the prices up.

Then again, how often do welders need to replace their welder power feed cables??

I don't think its much more thn a drop in the bucket though. Most people buy mainstream wire. I will be trying it shortly though.

I have some 1/0 welding wire. Its ok. Stinger pro 1/0 is MUCH beefier.
