Soundstream Van Gogh Fusing question

I will be getting a soundstream van gogh 800.5 (vga800.5) amplifier from a friend, and while checking the web for information on fusing, there seems to be 2 different manuals for the vga line. One that includes maximum fusing information and another that doesn't include that.

Anyway, this chart that is included in the pdf file says the vga800.5 requires a maximum of a 40A fuse. It doesn't make any sense, how does the vga800.2 (800 RMS x 1 @ 4 ohm) require a fusing of 140A while the vga1600.2 (1600 RMS x 1 @ 4 ohm) requires a 90A fuse?

My thought is the 140A rating belongs to the 1600.2, the 80A belongs to the 800.2, etc. It looks to me like they might have placed the wrong ratings next to the amps. Does anyone have any ideas?

Just to clarify, these are the power ratings for the 5 channel amp :

50 x 4 @ 4 ohm + 200 x 1 @ 4 ohm

100 x 4 @ 2 ohm + 400 x 1 @ 2 ohm or

200 x 2 @ 4 ohm (bridged) + sub

Start at 40A and work your way up if you open fuses too often. a couple dozen fuses is less money that you'd pay just in 1 way shipping for an amplifier when you blow it up. If you never open up fuses when playing hard it is very probable that your fusing will not protect the amp in the event of trouble.

Thanks, that is a very good idea, that way I can see for sure what it can handle.

The reason I wanted to know before I received the amp was because I was going to order a circuit breaker instead of a whole bunch of fuses. (I like being able to reset quickly without needing an Allen wrench)
