SoundStream T5 *vid*!!

tomorrow i'm going to go reset my gains to make sure they are right, i should put it at max volume that i listen to, and have my eq and stuff the way i normally listen to it, pop in a 45hz sine wave, and set the gain, sound good?

I know a few people who set their gains by a multimeter, but other than that, they usually turn all the bass controls down, they turn loud off, and everything that would boost the bass, all the gains on the amp down like bass boost, etc, then turn the volume up to i guess what you normally listen to, then adjust the gain. that's what I do usually but with a multimeter.

that's the thing...i am getting two ways to do it, and not sure which way is best...cause i had my eq on..loud on, boost off, volume-50/62, and then i turned my gain to 56.7 volts...and hooked stuff back up, turned music on, and had almost no bass what so ever, so i turned the gain up just another notch, and is all good now..

Well here is what I do with my gains. On my amp I turn the bass boost all the way to minimum, same with the actual gain knob to minimum. The subsonic and low pass knobs I leave to the desired frequency I want the sub to be played at. I turn my bass remote all the way off. I figure out the target voltage I need and then use my multimeter. But before I do that I turn just my head unit to the normal listening volume, lets say 10/30 for me. Once there, then I go back to my multimeter and turn my gain up a little bit, then I turn the bass remote up a little, and back and forth, until I reach my target voltage. Just as long as it aint clipping or its not distorted then you should be fine. What's your amp rated at?

Hmm...yeah that's right cuz I checked myself and your target voltage is 56.6. Hmm...I don't know why you hardly get any bass. I always go a little bit less than what my voltage says, but I don't think you would be clipping. But then again you aren't really pushing a lot to that sub, I don't think. Let me see what I can figure out, and hey, btw, what is the soundstream t5 cutout diameter?
