Soundstream speakers blown. NEED HELP! Pro Audio Coaxs with HLCD!

Hey all,,

well,,, Looks like i blew all my soundstream tower speakers. Really strange as i was giving them under their RMS with amps set with DMM. Who knows what happened.

Anyway. I am sick of using car audio/marine components on my tower. As the whole point of tower speakers is to project sound loudly behind the boat.

The standard of what high end wake board towerspeakers has become is using horn loaded compression drivers and mid bass drivers. Even better, using a coax driver with the compression driver mounted inside.

PLEASE... anyone in the know, give me advise. I have found many options however, as it is on a boat, the coax or midbass needs to be water resistant,, like a poly or carbon fibre cone.

Eminence had a good driver but... it has a paper cone!!!

I know that image dynamics makes a set with compression drivers,,, but no way i am spending 1000 dollars on a set. I have a budget of appx 200-250 for components,, then i will build my encolusure from pvc.

Of course,, those are nice. I am not going to pay 700 dollars for speakers,, I can build my own enclosures. I just need to find weather resistent coaxial drivers that a compression driver can be mounted
