Soundstream single 12 enclosure build

Ok guys here goes

Complete audio newb here litterally never had anything more than a factory set up

Probably never will have anything like this for my self

That said this build is for my 17 yr old son

My background is construction/wood work so im more than confident in my abilites to build a box

Soundstream refernce 12 inch sub i will post pics of specs that i have

Ported box in trunk of nissan sentra amp unknown at this time not yet purchased

Can get measurements of trunk if needed

Looking to build for overall sound quality and to be very loud

If im going to do it i just want to do it right

Im still unsure which would best suit this sub

From what im reading i want to be at 33/34 hz

So 3 cubicft at 33/34 hz i think would be correct?

Wire the sub in parallel for 2 ohms. Positives all together and negatives the same. That will give you the most out of that sub. I do cut sheets as well as enclosures so if you need any help, pm me.

I am considering building s box maby 3.5 to 4 cu ft incase the one sub isnt enuff and he wants to add another later on.

But that may be to big for one and to small for two

I think this is going to be a fun project with my son for sure as we dont do a lot of stuff togather any more

Also has any one ever used truck bed liner on the outside of a box? I have about a half gallon left from doing my truck and think it would give a nice textured finish as i plan on doing 2x top plates on the box and cutting out the spider on the top one with maby a few red or blue led lights to light up the spider just a thought thou.

35hz should be perfect about 2.5 cu ft per 12

you'd need to make the port length a little shorter to tune higher
