Soundstream Picasso PCA1000D

I been looking into an amp that does 1000-1500 watts @ 1 ohm and my budget is around $250. I want something that will make my 2 Diamond 12s sound good and clean and I came across this. There were questions on here about it but it was over 2 years ago so just wanting some opinoins or comparions to other amps. get it, i had the 1000 before i got the 1500 and never had one problem, never even got warm. it pushed a splx 15 just fine.

i wish there was more feedback on these amps on ebay you can get the 2000 watt version for around $325 which is a great price but as little reviews has ive read on these i havent really heard anything bad about them..

Half the price and twice the power. Soundstream has been around for a long time and I've never really heard anything bad about them. Don't hear to much about them at all really. My buddy had a soundstream amp with 3 soundstream 10's and it sounded incredible. Dont remember what series he had though.

i had a pca2000d and the thing was an animal. could run it all day long at full tilt and wouldnt even get warm. it was a beast.

until the firs time when i blew it being an idiot. after that, i blew about 4 or 5 more..then i was done with soundstream.

Those amps are the same as power acoustik ov1 series. POwer Acoustik owns them.. I own a PA OV14000 and its the same exact board as a Soundstream pca 1500 the ov15000 is the same as ss pca2000 or 3000 im not sure... anyways the amp runs flawlessy.. never gets even warm.. the PA's are rated a Little higher than the soundstreams...They obviously dont do the rated power but they do the same as the Soundstream.

Yeah... my homeboy had the soundstream... got rid of it and regret it ever since... 6 years later... he just bought it again off ebay.

its basically out of the hifonics 2006 / pca100d or the jl 500/1. It will be powering an orion h2 and should be one ohm stable.
