JMAC thanks for the help with the 10's. with the info you gave me I was able to re-work my driver dispacment on the 12's within tolerable parameters. I wound up building a dual 1.1^3 ft enclosure tuned to 33hz. I should have worked on the dimensions a little more since 36 1/4" wide doesn't quite fit in my brothers 2004 neon but we got it in there to test fit and try out before covering it in carpet. They are powered by a big Cliff Design amp I cant think of the model # but it is high current and puts out 1500 watts or so at 1/2 ohm but it is only seeing 1ohm mono.
We tested it against a pair of Diamond Audio M6 12's in 1cube sealed and the difference is day and night. The Diamonds get loud enough to be a real plesure but the DVs are insane.. With the gains set properly we couldn't stand to sit in the car with the volume not quite half way up.
We tested them with a little Usher some old Snoop Dogg, and Crystal Methods legion of boom.
And it was tight..too bad the highs were nowhere to be found it drowned them all out..time to drop in the CDT Eurosports to compensate.
