Yes it will work with your subs and it's "safe". It won't be as loud as your ported box at it's tuned frequency but IMO the sealed box will sound better. Although everyone uses it as a bass enhancer the BX-10 is a bass restorer typically used when you listen to a lot of older pre-digital source material.
