Soundstage Tuning

Hi I'm trying to get my sound stage up higher and am currently unable to because I have 3-way speakers in the lower part of the doors. I have a spot on top of the dash to mount 4" speakers or I can get components and put the tweeter up there. What option would sound better? Adding two 4" speakers to make 6 channels or do components and keep a 4 Channel system? My deck can only control 4 channel time correction and crossovers.

I misread the title you could run components in the doors with the tweeters in the factory 4" location what I've done it ran components in the doors with the tweeters mounted at the top of the door panel and ran 4" speakers in the factory location. You could run the dash speakers off the headunit and the comps off an amp that way
