Looking for SQ but still would like it to bump. Mainly listen to rap/rock. Would like to go with a small ported box since i dont have the biggest trunk in the world. Also looking for an amp to power one of these. Something ~350-400 would be good maybe even cheaper im lookign for an efficient amp that makes good clean sound

Well, I would also like to suggest a Stereo Integrity BM, awesome subs. Also as far as an amp goes, the Sundown Audio SAE-1000D is amazing.

that cadence amp seems like its **** good for the price. the only thing is i wanted to buy this system around xmas. you guys think i should spring for that cadence amp now at that price? I would wait till around christmas for the install but **** 199:yumyum:

I ran RL-P 15's a while back and have a 15" Q in the GF's car. My experience was that the RL-P had better SQ and the Q got louder. Q just seems to get a little boomy/muddy when you crank it up. Box is 3.5^3 @32Hz.

I prefer my HD's over both of them for SQL...

Anyone else? Would 1krms @ 1 ohm be too much for the Q to handle? Also would 650 watts @ 2 ohms be enough to make the RL-P loud? And will ported ruin my sq?

That is a perfect amount of power for that Q. And yes, the RL-P will get pretty loud off that amount of power for sure.

Ported will not "ruin" your sq. Ported may decrease the quality of SQ, but actually it stays the same some of the time. With those two subs, don't worry about losing SQ when you go ported, they will still sound great, and be the loudz.

if you're still trying to decide on an amp, i picked up that cadence and installed it in my friends car on a tc-9, pretty nice amp..
