Sold Soundsplinter rl-p group buy!

Heres the details

* Cost of driver must be paid prior to manufacturing (shipping will be paid seperately after drivers are ready)

* All buyers must be willing to wait up to 6 weeks for their product (though given normal circumstance, it would probably not take more than 4 weeks)

* Someone else would need to coordinate the gathering of interested parties such that all involved payments could be received within a span of 14 days. I will handle all collection and shipping.. I want to make sure that this can be done in a timely fashion when it is ready to move to the production phase.

If these conditions can be met:

The price on the RL-p12 D2 will be $199 + shipping

They have over 15 people interested but only have 6 confirmed drivers at this point. Regular price on the rl-p 12 is 235 so you are aving $35 not to mention this could be the last time for a while that you can get your hands on an rl-p d2.

not really a group buy, but a special order for

those of us who are willing to shell out the cash

for a special build of the D2...

oh yea... thats rite!! cant run a dual 2 ohm at 2 ohms hahah!!! aii guess ill have to run it a t 1 ohm and watch the gain setting...

theres not much point in doing a group buy for d4's. Mike already carries them for 235, which is pretty d*mn cheap considering what you get. This group buy of d2's is a special run that he is having made through tc. He is only doing it because a number of people wanted rl-p's but needed d2. They are going to have to wait about 4 weeks because the order with tc will not be placed until all money is in hand, which is largely why the price is discounted. I would not be surprused if Mike is selling these at cost or extremely close to it. If you want a d4 rl-p just order through soundsplinter.com and know that you are getting a great deal.

you have to understand how good of a deal you are getting already. When eD carried a tc9 driver they charged over 300 for it and the rl-p is actually an improvement over the old a series. Honestly, I have seen TC's price lists and what Mike is charging for this group buy is **** near cost if not at cost. In other words he's making veeery little off this sale of 15 drivers even though he is going to put in many hours picking the drivers up, signing them, and shipping them out. He is running a company and would be foolish to do this with his regular inventory, but since it is a special order that is going to take some time he's giving everyone a decent price break at his own expense.

group buy is for 12 " rl-p d2 ONLY.

kinda tempted to give up the sx's and try these but im not sure yet. how would these compare to re or dd, do they produce great spl and what is the rms on the subs.

They're not in the same class as dd, which is an spl company. These are sql woofers but they can get very loud. In comparison to an sx, it should get just as loud for the majority of its frequency however my guess would be that the sx will peak higher, but the rl-p is going to sound nicer and go a bit lower. I recently hit a 145.1 dB off 900w, and jellyfish420 hit 151 dB with 2 off 1400w in more of an spl geared box so they definitely can get loud. The rlp has been compared head to head against the xxx and held up very well. In fact mrray13 said he preferred it over the xxx.d. Anything from 400-1kw is good for these and you can even run more in a sealed box if you know what you are doing.
