These are sql woofers but they can get very loud. In comparison to an sx, it should get just as loud for the majority of its frequency however my guess would be that the sx will peak higher, but the rl-p is going to sound nicer and go a bit lower. I recently hit a 145.1 dB off 900w, and jellyfish420 hit 151 dB with 2 off 1400w in more of an spl geared box so they definitely can get loud. The rlp has been compared head to head against the xxx and held up very well. In fact mrray13 said he preferred it over the xxx.d. Anything from 400-1kw is good for these and you can even run more  in a sealed box if you know what you are doing.</p></blockquote><p></p>
