Soundqubed HDC3 12" in 33hz box

I got an alpine type r 12 and an amazing box made from Starr Mountain Sound, I was flexing windows of a local business with just one 12 on less then 1000 watts. But I want to be able to safely stay that louder then 1500 now so I want to get an HDC3 12 and just put it in the box I have considering I just recently got it a few weeks ago. It is tuned to 33hz and 2cu feet. 32x15x14 I think it was, but I could be off. I want to run around 1500+watts daily to it.

Im not sure if the hdc3 has changed at all since AQ changed to SQ, but i dont think i would throw one in a box tuned quite that low they dont like it too much

I read online that this person put his in a small box tuned to 30 hz and it slapped hard so I'm debating cause I have heard different things

Im tuned at 32 with my hdc4.s and rhey have a fs of 41 lot higher than the hdc3 ..thy murder the lows ...in thing is that box isnt big enough and probably doesnt have enough port to suite a hdc3

They like big boxes with lots of port ..period...will it function in that box yes will it be all that it can be ..far from it

How much port area per cube? As far as tuning you could cut the port shorter to raise tuning a few hz and gain some box volume...

Ive had both and the hdc3 actually did get down when it broke in but I still tuned at 37 or higher or believe. I have a couple hdc4 18s that im trying to get rid of, never tried tuning too low and honestly id be scared to theyre still stiffer than chit
