Soundproofing trunk

i drive a 92 cadillac seville how would i figure out how much sound proof mat i need for my trunk. it rattles pretty bad when my subs are playing. also for rattling whats the best kind of pad to use from secondskin or whatever.

I have a 92 Deville. Before installing my subs I installed 50ft. of second skin in my entire trunk. I helped alot but still rattles. All of the rattle comes from the trunk lid it self, I can see the lid flexing when the subs hit. I going to try adding more secondskin on the lid in the near future. The only drawback is that when I hit the trunk pop the trunk doesn't pop open like it use to because of the extra weight.

is ur bass not as loud outside of the car because of the cadillac soundproofed cab..seems like my bass should be a lot louder outside of the car than it is..cause inside its loud then i close door and barely anything coming out that i can tell.

you may be able to adjust the trunk pop tension bar or whatever its called

wow, wasnt really lookin to spend 300$ just on soundproofing my trunk..whats more affordable lol

and how much of a difference will it make in how loud my stereo is inside of my car?
