SounDigital SD1800.1D clamp testing, SPL testing, review.

Test with and without the battery charger on?
I will try to post these results tomorrow. Truck off, Truck on.

What's a little more impressive to me, is that it seems I have very little impedance rise.

That charger is going to continue to show a high voltage on your system, although the charger will not be able to meet the current demands of the amp. I'm curious to see the power output/Termlab score difference with and without the charger.

no of course not....

I just want the testing method to be logical and valid.

....and at this point, NG hasnt provided either.
My alternator provides between 14.4-14.6v while the truck is on, and it is a 220amp alternator... probably ~100A @ idle so how is it not logical OR valid?

I really don't care what you do. If you were being proactive you'd of kept a "real world" circumstance for your test in the first place.
Dont get me wrong, look - if someone came up with an amp that did stupid power output in a small footprint id be all over it. (wait, didnt they try that back in 1992 with Blade Technologies?)
This amplifier will do more power than it says it will do, is our way to make amplifiers. And we do a LOT of R&D to make the smallest high-power amplifiers in world.

SD5000 and SD8000 are much more impressive, SD8000, as an example, makes 13kW using a 14in package.

If you think I like the fact of nG using a power supply, I don't like, because it is a 40A one. If he use a big alternator the amplifier would deliver more power.

Im quite surprised you didn't do that in the first place.

Of course, this thread will be null and void in general because of such.

If you're not straight with us, then how can we believe in your results?
Not being straight would be intentionally not mentioning the charger what-so-ever...
