All I'll say, as a rep and a vendor in the industry, is that one tends to "hear" things. You think it was obvious and stupid, I don't. If it was never posted in the open in the first place there'd be no speculation.
I'm just trying to back my statements the best way I can. I can see how it would seem like I'm holding something back, but I'm really not. I'm just being respectful of personal info while at the same time trying to justify the things I've said.

nG and I have had our differences in how he moderates, and I cant say that I agree with how he words things, but your accusation goes way beyond a mod using some harsh words when dealing with a member. You are accusing someone of bribery. No you aren't out and out saying it happened, but you are implying its still possible, even after squeak says otherwise, and even with the initial comments being obvious.

You clearly want to boil this down to a judgment call. Im prepared to stand behind my comments that it was an obvious joke, and let the other readers here draw their own conclusion. Your implications of it being otherwise, while trying to look impartial, appear as nothing more than an attempt on your part to stir up trouble where there is none.

But no, my response was a joke. If I was the type to honestly accept bribes, then I could have made an easy $50 from that T3 guy. That was an honest and sincere bribe offer. How well did that work out for them? Well, no posts or threads were deleted (other than by the Admin), they are both banned, and now there's more T3 hate on the forum than when they proposed the offer. Not to mention Ant would have to be quite brazen to post publicly about a sincere and honest bribe to remove competitors from the forum. It was a joke and shouldn't be construed or interpreted to be anything but.

Yes, I can see how some could interpret my response as sincere. FWIW, IIRC I banned him just prior to making THIS POST (hence the statement that it wasn't up to him....because he'd already been banished), which came prior to the the bribe joke. Unfortunately for permanently banned usernames, the control panel doesn't show time of ban.

I can guaranty that my response to the bribe talk was in jest and that I did not receive any - zero, zilch, nada - deadener, products, money, or any other form or sort of compensation for removing the Cascade employee from the forum. Any discussions between myself and Ant are totally and completely right here in this thread. His banning was simply a result of his actions.

Lastly, I don't really care what think of me personally or as a mod of this forum in regards to "the bribe offer" //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif If you think I'm a scumbag who'd take a bribe and run.....doesn't matter to me. But the fact that other individuals and/or you are attempting to use these comments made in jest against Ant and his business, spread it around the interweb as fact and use it in personal attack against him and his supposed insecurity and inability to deal with competition is a little ridiculous and unwarranted. It was a joke.

In the last 3-4 weeks I have been coming in here, it seems this site is pretty much unmoderated. I do find it interesting at times, and there are some knowledgeable people in here. Unfortunately what I need help most with is tuning, and you can't do that online.
