Yeah but we started out talking along the lines of coaxials. Only safe to assume the budget isn't above $300.

i had the kappa perfects, there was no midbass and the tweeter was harsh, i didnt like them very much. I bought some hertz which totally owned the kappas, they sound amazing.

^^^atsaubrey is running the XS69, and they sound awesome. One of the best systems I've heard and they were even broken in yet.

I am not looking over 300 for sure it's just coax/ I am also not concerned really with mid-bass because I am going to have 4 12's or 6 10's covering bass. I just want something that is clear with words and highs.

whatever you decide to get, remember that install is a huge factor of the outcome.

Under $300. Someone is selling some Hertz HSKs new in the box for $310 shipped on the forums. I would definately look to that. If not that, you can get comparable performance with Rainbows, for less.

I know a lot of people will suggest other brands. Image Dynamics, etc, but out of the lower cost components I've heard, the previous two are hard to beat.

Go ahead and get components for that kind of money. You don't need an elaborate mounting for the tweeter to get them to sound good.

Well my install is going to be in the factory location reguardless. To answer the question about sound quality, Thats the name of the thread because I want something that has crisp clean sound. Sound quality is not always about subs and in this case if it was I would have posted this in the subwoofer section. So Rainbow has good clear sound?

It's not a question of subs, no subs. It's a question of Coaxials, or components. You get a way better sound quality out of a set of components than you would out of a set of coaxials.
