Sound Quality?

I've researched a couple subs but they all tend to sound the same in the "one size fits all" display enclosure in a 2,500 cubic foot room. Here are the subs I'm hells-bent on SQ, NOT SPL, and I'm also hells-bent on (2) 10" subs. Here is what I have looked at:

Alpine SWX 1024D

Rockford T210D4 and D2: the dual two ohm and dual four ohm. I know theres a difference in the ohm load presented to the amp, but is there any difference is SQ?

JL Audio 10W7 and 10W6: I'm just concerned about the foam surround, and some say that its more of an SPL application.

These are just the ones I have physically seen and heard. If there is anything else on the market that should spark my attention, please feel free to let me know.

They would be incorrect.

The W7 was designed to be an SQ sub "with balls". Measurement wise, they have very low levels of distortion. But, not everybody loves their "sound".

The W6v2 series on the other hand is a SQ sub aswell, with good output potential too boot, just not as much as the W7 series. I for one prefer the W6v2 to the W7...and I know a ton of people feel the same way.

For a pure SQ setup, I would personally rather have a W6v2 over a W7

If there is anything else on the market that should spark my attention,

Budget?

Any space constraints?

How much power do you plan on running?

Already have an amplifier?

If he's talking W7s, budget is not a concern.

I've haven't given too much thought to what I will power the subs with, but the Kicker amps that I currently have seem to be treating me well. I know I'll have to step it up a notch power wise, but I'm thinking about purchasing two Kicker 06ZX1000.1 for the sub power. I'm not looking to go dual alternator and I'm not too interested in taking the time for a dual battery setup either.
