I have not had bad experiences with Sony, and I do understand Sony is only "entry-level" stuff. However, that is just the experiences I have had. If you guys have had bad experiences with Sony, then I am sorry that it happened to you, but that does not mean you have to be biased towards someone who has not had those same bad experiences. The four brands I have had the best experiences with are Sony, Sharp, Insignia, and Toshiba. I have not had any problems with any of those brands, which is why I am standing behind them.
I understand everyone's experiences with products differ, and I understand it can lead to people being biased towards the products they have had bad experiences with, but the reason I refused to accept what people were trying to tell me is primarily because I did not have those bad experiences. All people had to say was this: "We understand you have not had problems with Sony, but our own experiences with Sony were not as good as yours, which is why we think the way we do about them". Now, about ATRAC3plus...Since there was no post in the "effects of compression" thread about ATRAC3plus, I was forced to go by what I read on Sony's website and in the instruction manuals I got with my ATRAC3plus portable CD player. I am sorry if it made me make false claims, but those were the only things I could go by since there were no tests done to compare ATRAC3plus to MP3 and WMA format.
Hahaha being a douche and a ignoramace is breaking my rules //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif GTFO.Actually, I'm not the one breaking the rules here. You guys are breaking the forum rules by flaming me, so I do not have to stop what I am doing.
Speaking with a heavy background in computers:Let's try this scenario: You have two computers with exactly the same parts. One is a $400 Dell setup and the other is an $800 Sony Vaio setup. The computers are exactly the same, the only thing different is the brand name and the price. Which would you spend your money on?
There wont be a difference. To any sane person.OK man. Im not gonna flame on you becuase its useless. Do this though, buy a master disc and then buy the exact same mass produced cd off the shelf. The Master disc is the one made off the 4 track from the studio, they can be a ***** to get a hold of but go with me on this. Take both discs and put them into a good quality stereo and listen to the same track off each one. Can You hear the difference? If you can than you do have good hearing, if you cant than accept the fact that you are in the general 85% of the population that also cannot hear the difference and be happy. I think its been beaten to death what Atrac is and isnt so I wont bother. You are gonna learn from experience that unlike computers audio is not all about specs on a box. Not that it means much but Im A+ cert tech so I know both sides of the coin here. There are a lot of factors that makes something sound "good" or not. Also when you are posting what you have, no need to include tag lines and the link when talking about your optical cable. Posting things like "I have a monter lightspeed 100 optical cable" doesnt help or impress anyone, it just makes you sound like a mark. Stick around on this forum for a while, sit in the background and observe some discusions and you'll learn alot, then follow a simple rule. Type what you wanna post, then reread it, then hit post. It will let you catch yourself making statements that you might reliase you dont wanna make
That would make you stupid, yes? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gifMaster disks just cost a lot of money because stupid people think they are a collectors item (which they are).
