Well i like sound quality better then going all out....well i was wondering what 6.5 component set of speaker is going to be the best quality speakers for a sq setup. i also like it to be around 200 watts rms each speaker. what i have is 6.5 (front) and 6x9 (rear). I was thinking about some Boston Acoustics, Infinity perfect, Kicker, Cadence, Diamond, Jl Audio etc. well if you got any good components in mind. please let me know.

I would say check out Focal and Hertz. They are both great sounding speakers for the money and focal makes some amazing high end speakers depending on how much you are willing to spend. The K2p series is amazing for the $1800 price tag. We have the Vslim series in my wife's car and they are impressive for $600. I'm actually thinking of selling them and getting a set of Utopia's instead. Rainbow and dynaudio are also good companies. If you are really serious about sq speakers go to knowledgeable shops and demo as many as you can. Each speaker is going to sound different to everyones ear to a point. What someone else loves and recomends might not sound right to you. Trust your ears more than anything else.

You didn't list a budget and i believe all those types of speakers you listed are under $500 except for Boston's top of the line and i dont know what Cadence is.

I've heard the Infinity Kappa Perfects and the tweeters were way too harsh for me. What is your opinion on SQ since people have different taste.

Rainbow Germainium, Polk SR6500, Pioneer 720 to name just a few. What's your budget for front comps and what have you auditioned so far that you really like?

focals vslim looks nice....well they cost like 280 bucks shipped from ebay...brand new in box...well im looking into rainbows...ads is nice but they won't fit my door panels. i like boston too....i got a set of boston sl60 component set (6.5). i like the sound. Any body know any components sets compared to that set?

- If the ADS won't fit, the PPi won't fit either, they have the same basket design (they are now sister companies) so scratch those off your list.

Cerwin Vega V-Max 65 are 2.25" deep... how much depth do you have to work with?

Good info, Gary.

Civic SI.... the SLC265's need just shy of 2.5" installation depth, so definitely keep in mind what kind of depth you have to work with.
