Sound quality Comps

Hey guys I'm not really that knowledgeable about speakers, but from what I have researched I'm looking for a set of comps. Really looking for some nice sound quality ones that are $200-250 for a set. Can anyone reccommend a set for me? Thanks

I have some Aura MR62's for sale $150 shipped, won't beat them for the money. Other than that the Imagines are a nice set. Otherwise looking used is a good idea.

Looking to mount them in the door, going for passive atm as it seems easier, once I pick out a set of speakers then Ill look into some amps

A huge part of SQ is install so make sure you do a good set of comps justice by sealing and deadening your doors

I have a little sound deadener on the door right now where the speakers are, but what do you mean by sealing them?

Also my headunit is a kenwood kdc 148 and what is son/off axis?

Covering all the large holes in your door with either wood or sheet metal and deaden the entire door. It will greatly improve your midbass response

Some even sound better off-axis usually metal domed tweeters

I don't really have any large holes in my door if I remember, maybe underneath the plastic which I havent taken off yet, I plan on gettin a roll on audio technix 80mil deadener when Im ready to install these speakers.
