Sound quality amp/sub

I am looking for a sub system in my car, and i want it mainly for sound quality. I can not spend any over 500 dollars for the amp, sub, and box. I talked to Dj over at audioque and he said to do the sd 2.5 12". Thats 165 shipped, But then i looked at his 1200D amp, for 250 shipped it looks really nice but i would over power the crap out of the 12" sub. Anyways would that combo in a nice 2 cube ported box be a good idea for a sound quality system? I would probably set it to around 500rms

mostly rap, hip hop will be played in the vehicle by the way. The front stage will be audioque components, with possibly the audioque 4x90 amp but thats not a definite yet.
