i have my 12v 8 gauge cable running from my positive terminal to the amp. my ground wire goes from the ground in amp to metal in my trunk. my rem cable goes from my rem in the amp to the rem cable to the back of my deck. i have the fuse in and my amp lights up but the green light that is supposed to be light up isn't. when my ground was touching my battery it was red but now its not light up at all. what the hell do i do. thanks

bad ground maybe. when you say "ground was touching my battery" was it on the + or - that it was touching? did you check the amp's fuses? do you have a DMM to test voltage at the amp?

the ground was touching the negative. checked fuses and there fine. and i don't know what dmm is?.

i have a dual xdm6820 deck. a sony xplod xm-sd22x amp. and 2 12" alpine type E subs....that i have never herd boom yet

u need a dmm to see what the voltage is at at the amp. also make sure your subs are actually hooked up in their box and nothing's loose. you can check that at the amp with the dmm as well

where do i put the dmm? i think my dad has one but i don't know what to do with it?

and what do i put the dmm on? cuz there is a switch and it says off, then the next one over is a v with a squiggly line above it, then the next one is a v with a dotted line a above it and a solid line above the dotted line, there there is a 300 mV with a dotted line above it and a solid line above the dotted line, and the horse shoe which i think is ohms, and then some weird thing at the bottom
