Amp to drive four 6.5 Apline R's

I have a 05 TSX and just bought some Alpine 6.5 R's component in the front coax in the rear. Im looking for a good legit amp under $200. I know the RMS on the components are rated 110 and 100 on the coax. Im a custom PC builder and kind of new to the car audio scene, so I have a few questions. If I get a 75X4 @ 4ohms amp will it be noticeably worse than a 100X4 amp?

The installer Im using said he could sell me a "pro series" 75X4 amp for $300+ and gave the old you get what you pay for line. I know there has to be some decent amps that do 100X4 to match my speakers for cheaper than that. One amp I have been looking at is the Alpine MRP-F600 and the F450, but I dont know how much of a difference the lower RMS will effect the sound.

Your ears would not notice the difference between 75 & 100 watts. However the more overhead you have the better your music will sound at higher volumes. i.e. less clipping

To hear something as louder you would have to double your power or a 3+ db increase in sensitivity for the speaker.

The PDX 4.100 would drive the speakers with plenty to spare. They are a Class D amp and from what I have gathered, the Alpine R's respond well to them (Focals don't, but that is another story all together). I'm selling one here if you are interested: http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=439327
Aw man I would have bought that from you. That's the amp I really wanted just didn't want to spend $300, but I just got a steal on a F550 yesterday. In a few months when I get my subs in I will probably swap it for a PDX or JL. Hopefully the F550 will be good until then.

I'm running a pair of Alpine components up front and I'm just running them off the headunit power. So I'd say being generous... they're maybe seeing 15W rms and they get pretty **** loud. I'd say 75W per speaker would more than accomplish what you're looking for.

Cool, I cant wait to rip the stock speakers out, the magnet is the size of a stack of quarters.
