kill the fakes
weird. that's exactly what i have in my car. it's funny; i was disappointed to find that everyone thinks Sony mobile audio sucks. for a while i felt like i got burned. but then i remembered that i did A/B them with all of the other speakers at Best Buy (this decision i do regret -- i should have bought the stuff elsewhere, for cheaper), and they sounded better than the Pioneers and Kenwoods to me. maybe it's the music i listen to, but my xplods sound great.
now, i've only had them for 9 months, and if the curse is true, they'll crap out on me in just a little while. that's fine. lessons learned. i'll be buying some nice components next time, which is what i should have done to begin with.
but in the meantime, my setup sounds great, and i love the features that my HU (MP40) has. everything does just what i want it to, and sounds remarkable to me. but that's what everyone on this forum says: buy what sounds good to you, and if others don't like it, shave off their eyebrows and pull out their kidneys.... wait -- no, that's not it.
