Sony Xplod XM444 for comps?

So my buddy got a Sony Xplod XM-444 and it's 4/3/2 channel and says 2x222 @4 ohms. Is that too much for a set of Pioneer D-series comps?

last sony amp i had (a long tiem ago) did 160 out of its rated 200 watts.. so that prob doesnt push all 222... i'd try the speakers with around 125 each and and mess around with highpass filter around 80 and see how it sounds from there

so how do i only give it 125? do i just turn down the one of the srews on the crossovers or on the amp? I know how to install the stuff but know nothing about muti channel amps.
