Anyone know anything about this amp? I'm about to go trade a couple things for it in an hour or so. I love old Sony, //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif. From what I know, it does 160x1 (rated), and it was manufactured in 1988. I would assume then that it's pretty damn good like anything pre-xplod made by Sony. Louisiana? I figure you might know a thing or two about it...

It's just an addition to my collection of o/s Sony amps //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I have an XM-3040F (in near perfect condition!), an XM-3021 (silver, like yours), and a home audio STR-6060FW (considered comparable to Mcintosh, it was their first solid-state receiver) //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/greedy.gif.5a53e6246569d7ab79867170f3b06629.gif

Do you happen to have any o/s Sony amps left? I'd love to snag them off you...

Also...

I hooked it up to a battery charger so I could test it in my home, and it sounded pretty much perfect. I'm either going to hook it up in my car tonight, or tomorrow morning. It will be competing against my Earthquake PA-2075, which I consider to be much (not just a little) better sounding than the PPI Art A600.2 I ran a while ago...Not very easy competition as you would imagine //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I'm also in the process of getting the pictures of the guts, and I'll let you guys know how it sounds. From hearing it in my house, I think it will be a tiny bit bass heavy, but with extremely refined bass, and the mid/treble will be very detailed.
