Sony XM-4045 opinions..

my brother has this sony, since new, which he is going to sell. i've been looking for a nice, low-profile, clean 4-channel amp to power some 4.5"'s and 6.5"'s and seeing one for sale just now reminded me of the one my brother has.

anyway, how conservatively, if at all, were these things rated? i was thinking of getting an alpine f-450 or even the rd audio rd-504 (which is for sale). now, obviously, the alpine yields more watts and that's considered but i'm also talking sound quality.
