I'm looking at getting a Soundstream class D amp which is rated to deliver 1000w x1 at 1-ohm.
If I connect a pair of dual 4-ohm voice coil subs in parallel to a single channel amp, the final load on the amp would be 1-ohm, which would deliver 1000w per the amp spec.
Now with 2 subs connected, that should split the 1000w between the pair, giving them essentiall 500w apiece.
Does this sound correct? Its been a while since I've worked with multiple subs in one of my systems.
Thanks!
