hey i have a sony explode head unit Model Number - cdxr33005 but i lost the remote i was wondering if i got a cheap universal remote will it work with the head unit?? and help much appreciated Cheers

A universal remote will most likely work. But the problem will be in programming it. I'm not aware of any universal remote that has presets for car headunits. You can, however, program it if you can get a hold of another sony remote (maybe at some shop? friend?.. etc). Most universal remotes can be programmed by "IR learning" from the original remote.
