it looks like you already have the adapter so then yes just plug it in.

My other question is 8 of the wires were cut as shown in the pic, do I need to worry about it when I plug this to my new unit?

those 8 wires that were cut are the speaker wires.

since you have an amp for tll your door speakers it wont be a problem.

it just wasnt a good idea cutting them like that in the first place.

and yea you should be fine with that amp and the new radio.
