Sony dsx-a500bd mistery headunit pins

My new HU is a Sony DSX-A500BD and the connection socket on the rear has pins as shown in the picture which do not have wires in the supplied connection lead in the same pic ( you can see four wires missing in the black connection plug) and it makes no mention what they are for in the manual.

Any ideas?

Also just seen my spelling mistake in title, my bad, cant edit now.

Standard plug not using all the pins. Very common

Thank u for the reply, so even though all the pins are present in the HU they are not connected internally?
