Sony CD player will not power on

Hi everyone.

Hopefully someone can help, I'm installing a Sony CDX G1150U in my boat which is an aluminium 12foot with a 25 hp Yamaha outboard.

Anyway I have everything wired up correctly and tested all wires and fuses with my test light which works but no power to the unit? It's a brand new unit and I tested it on my car battery and it powers up, so the unit does work.

Here is what I have on the boat battery -

Anchor lights - works

Running lights - works

Cabin lights - works

Bilge pump - works

Stereo - not working

ive been looking and looking but can't figure it out? it just won't power on at all?

Anyone have an idea?

you need to connect both yellow and red wiring to a power source. ideally, yellow to battery directly (constant) and red to the dash switched 12V. black will be routed back to the battery.
